Japan, the 17th century: The country's leaders have decided to execute
all Christians, and they are quite successful, too, but then it's revealed
that Princess Maria Ten is expecting five Christian ninja girls, who each
carry a bell in her vagina, and the five bells put together lead to an
enormous treasure that's supposed to help spread the word of Christ. The
bells by the way can be lured out of the girls' bodies by use of a
crucifix. So officials hire samurai Seiichiro (Kenji Yamaguchi) to track
down and kill the Christian ninja girls, and Seiichiro accepts -
personally, he has nothing against Christians, but his noble family has
lost its fortune and status many decades ago and he wants to restate both. Seiichiro
defeats the first ninja girl using his echo technique, a technique that
allows him to inflict all injuries inflicted on him on his opponent as
well. However, in dying, the ninja girl destroys Seiichiro's eyes, and his
eyes are essential for the echo technique. That Seiichiro doesn't die
right there on the battlefield as well is only thanks to Kyara (Yuki
Sumida), a prostitute whose life he once saved, and who now not only
returns the favour, she also becomes his girlfriend. Seiichiro's
henchmen manage to defeat the other ninja girls, but all die in battle as
well. It's only when the last ninja girl tries to kill Kyara (before dying
herself) that Seiichiro realizes there is something not quite right. After
they have solved the puzzle leading to the Christian treasure, Kyara
restores Seiichiro's eyesight, but also reveals that she is indeed
Princess Maria Ten, and the Christian ninja girls were supposed to bring
the bells to her, but she has turned against them because she wanted the
money for her own ends that have little to do with Christianity. Seiichiro
wants to keep Kyara from getting the treasure, but he realizes he can't
because he's too much in love with her. She's in love with him as well,
but unwilling to give up the enormous treasure, which she soon dives after
(it's hidden in the sea you know). Seiichiro comes to the realization he
and Kyara won't be able to find happiness together in this life, so he
kills himself using the echo technique, meaning he also kills her in the
process, so they can be together in the next world ... Not a
great movie, but lots of fun. After all, a film featuring cute ninja girls
fighting and losing their cloths can't be all bad, can it. Add to this
some weird ninja magic techniques - a trademark of the Female
Ninjas: Magic Chronicles-series, a healthy disregard of historical
facts and a weird understanding of Christianity, and you've got one stupid
but entertaining piece of film ...
