The relationship of Addison (Nichole Bagby) and Caleb (Andy Gates) has
seen happier days, and it seems the garden party they're throwing for
their friends is only putting an additional strain on things, not only
because the preparations prove to be more stressful than they're supposed
to but also because their guests don't really make things any easier:
There's homosexual Wesley (David Leeper) and buddy Lincoln (Gregory
Blair), a guy goofy enough he doesn't even know Wesley's hot for him,
there's overly pedantic Reena (Lise Hart) and her ditzy friend Melanie
(Dawna Lee Heising) a cougar with her sight set on Lincoln. Well, suffice
to say, things soon get out of bounds - and then a psycho killer (Matt
Weinglass) shows up and things get really crazy ... Garden
Party Massacre is ... quite simply a hilarious movie! And that's first
and foremost because it finds exactly the right, welcomely old school
approach to comedy, putting an emphasis on snappy dialogue and the perfect
delivery thereof, on the right performers in the right roles,
well-executed physical humour, while avoiding to be too clever for its own
good or dumbing it down for cheap laughs. Even if the film's horror
topic doesn't appeal to you one bit, this is definitely worth a watch!!!
