It's Halloween: A series of murders shatters the small town of
Panhandle, Middle of Nowhere, USA, and Doctor Sam Loomis III (David Dietz)
is sure it's Michael Myers (Brian Ceponis), who has only recently escaped
from the asylum. Thing is, nobody believes him, least of all Gosberg (Adam
Caplinger), the detective working with him on the case - so when after
quite some hunting down all sorts of tracks, Loomis faces Myers, gun
drawn, Gosberg shoots Loomis in the shoulder to save what he considers
"just a kid dressed up for Halloween" from a fanatic. A fatal
mistake because Michael Myers has no problem stabbing his
"saviour" to death in a heartbeat, before targeting a house in
the neighbourhood in which he (rightfully) suspects some naughty
babysitters. And now it's up to Loomis to muster up enough strength to go
after Myers - but if he succeeds, will he be able to fight him with his
shattered shoulder? By no means the re-invention of the wheel,
this film does nevertheless accomplish what it has set out to do, to make
a to the point hommage to/fanfilm of the original Halloween
series, with nothing added and little lost. So fans will of course find
everything they always loved about the series and will smile about how
well this one deciphers and follows the formula, they will enjoy the
easter eggs, and probably nod knowingly every now and again. So again, not
the re-invention of the wheel - but a rather serviceable wheel all the
same ...
