Pat (Natasha Hatalsky) and Matrice (Kathy LaShay Berenson) share a
hotelroom, and from the looks of it, it's not the first time they do.
Apparently they've been through a lot together, know their strengths and
weaknesses, know how to handle one another ... but that doesn't always
work in their favour: It all starts with Matrice reassuring Pat that
"it's fine" without knowing what "it" even is, and
from there, things go downhill as both women know how to play each other's
insecurities and emotional scale, and before you know it they're at each
other's throat (virtually) and blood starts to flow (literally) ... Pat
and Matrice is one of those nice little movies (even if it's of course
technically an episode of an anthology webseries) that understands how to
make the most out of very little (as in two women, one hotelroom) via a
good premise, clever and poignant dialogue, a very competent cast and a
suitably subtle directorial effort that gives everything else room to
develop. Really nice, and totally worth your while.
