Crown Prince Chang (Ju Ji-Hoon) is lured into a trap and ultimately has
to behead his own, long zombified father, the King, in order to save
himself - and now Chancellor Cho (Ryu Seung-ryong) sees to it that Chang
is accused of the murder of the King and is made captive while all of his
companions are killed. Meanwhile, the queen's quarters are searched, and
eventually the buried corpses of a handful or murdered women and their
baby girls are found, suggesting ... nobody actually knows what yet. But
everything gets into a state of uproar when an undead turns up within the
city walls - it's actually one of Chang's murdered soldiers brought back
with the resurrection plant ... Basically, this episode is a
case of too little undead activity, too much palace intrigue, which means
there's little urgency in the former while the latter gets more and more
complicated and thus lacks actual impact. On the plus side, everything's
still well-made and well-played, it's just that the story has hit a bit of
a speed bump.
