Lacey (Humphries) and James (Jaybizzle) are in love ... and very much
so - and that's pretty much the plot of the movie - which in writing might
sound a bit feeble ... but as a film, it actually works fine, as it,
within the course of one evening, takes the couple through the good and
the bad (with Jaybizzle throwing up being the "highlight"), and
the two have a wonderful on-screen chemistry with one another. Now sure,
apart from our male lead pouking there's not much happening here, but the
film's over-all fly-on-the-wall approach really makes one root for the
film's two leads, which in turn makes their dialogue, however bland on the
outside, interesting, and really brings their relationship to life. That
said, it's not director Douglas Reese most perfect film (which is fair
enough, it's also an early one), but for sure an interesting early
exercise by an amateur auteur!
