Jessie (Jessica Felice) spends her days wandering the graveyard - which
might seem like an odd hobby but the fact is that she's dead and just
can't move on until she has seen her lover (Taylor August) one last time.
Thing is, things weren't all rosey between her and her lover, and now
before she moves on she wants him to feel her pain ... Laid
to Rest is a hauntingly beautiful little movie, one that despite some
gruesome scenes plays more like a sad poem thanks to a direction that
chooses atmosphere over spectacle, despite its short running time takes
its tme to let things unfold, and makes great use of the movie's graveyard
sets, and thanks to some very restrained performances that give the film
the necessary depth. Totally worth a watch!
