Satan (Jennifer Plotzke) and Beelzebub (Ari Rossen), who "rather
reign in Hell than serve in Heaven", decide to ascend to the surface
of earth to track down God's latest favourite, the human, in the Garden of
Eden, and when they find Adam (Carl Hendrick Louis) and Eve (Pia Haddad),
the first of humankind, sleeping on the ground, they decide on an evil
plot ... Based on parts of John Milton's Paradise Lost and
using that pieces words as dialogue, Lost + Found nevertheless
strays quite some distance from it's source material, namely that the film
is shot in modern settings, and doesn't even try to disguise it, and the
short is rather devoid of Christian symbolism, concentrating more on the
act of seduction itself including its anticipation - and thanks to a slick
yet empathic directorial effort and of course strong performances by all
involved, this slight reinterpretation of Milton's material works like a
beauty.
