A computerized voice asks a guy (Willy Adkins) to bring $50,000 to an
old farmhouse or his girlfriend (Kelsey Zukowski) will die. Of course he
does as told, and in the farmhouse he finds his girlfriend all tied up and
her mouth taped shut ... happy ending? Nope, this is where problems
begin. Loving Betrayal is a very short (roughly over two
minutes) short that was allegedly dreamt up, filmed and edited in no more
than 6 hours - but the thing works as a fun exercise in genre filmmaking,
that takes a genre mainstay and twist it around enough to get something
really original out of it in the movie's short running time. Add to this
that the film is slickly directed and well-played (even though there's
little character development given the short running time), and you got
yourself quite simply a fun little piece of film. And if I have
made you at all curious, you might as well just watch it here:
