Sacha (Hugo Andre) is a timid former chef turned food blogger who has
recently took up residence at stockbroker Dan's (Will Masheter) place, who
since his recent divorce has found the place too big for himself alone. At
first it seems the two get along fine by going out of each other's way,
but then Sacha learns Dan's secret, he likes to wear women's clothes. Not
only that, he also performs in drag shows. But then he's spotted by some
colleagues from work at one of his shows, and when this story makes the
rounds, he's promptly fired from his job despite being really good at it.
From now on, Dan hangs out at home in women's clothes a lot - which at
first makes Sacha feel rather uncomfortable. But with the help of some
weed, he gradually warms up to the idea of a male housemate in drag. One
day though, Sacha's friends stop by for a game of cards, and they can't
stop making fun of Dan's crossdressing, leaving Sacha at a loss where he's
actually belonging to ... A very nice movie that despite its
slightly flamboyant theme has chosen to keep things low key, employing an
almost slice-of-life approach to its story, and this way keeping things
relatable. And spots of comedy here and there keep the thing from veering
off into the overly dramatic side, while the cast is grounded enough to
add believability to the events, especially to the more awkward of scenes.
And it's more than likely that the film's ending will put a smile on your
face.
