A radio DJ (Larry King) is bumped off because he refuses to play a
certain record on his show - and thus, Jeff Thompson, investigator of the
hotel association, starts his investigations by tracking down the singer
of the record, a certain Lita Irish (Jill Corey), who turns out to be a
nice girl next-door, but the owner of the club she sings at, Ted Craig
(Gene Damian) is a mobster who wants her as his moll. Jeff poses as a
booking agent to get to speak alone with Lita, but shocks her when he
reveals his true identity - but after a while, she grasps what she has
gotten herself into and helps Jeff and the police to arrest two of Craig's
men, to use them as bait for him - and of course, everything ends happily,
even for Lita who in the end gets a fair chance to have a real recording
career. Not particularly special, but an ok television crime
drama that's well enough written and played to not totally disappoint.
