Pamela North (Barbara Britton) is playing substitute nurse to Gordon
Lane (Willis Bouchey), who is bound to his bed since his accident - or at
least he claims to be, because actually he is able to walk around.
Thing is, Gordon hides the fact from everybody because he wants to have
his revenge on his wife Marion (Eve Miller), who cheats on him with his
friend Barry (Harry Lauter) ... and eventually, Gordon manages to invite
Barry, shoot him dead and put the blame on Marion.
Then though, substitute nurse Pamela North finds out that Gordon is
actually mobile, and she calls her friend, police Lt Weigand (Francis De
Sales) - who is presently quetioning Marion - to inform him about this new
developments ... but Gordon listens in on the conversation on his
extension, and now sees no other way than to shoot Pamela as well - but
after a bit of a chase around the house, a policeman sent by Weigand
arrives just in time to shoot Gordon before he can do Pamela any harm.
Rather simplistic murder mystery that doesn't have all that much going
for it except for some inherent early television charm.
