It's bedtime, but since a little girl (Maggie Fraser) doesn't want to
go to sleep, her mother (Kayla Olson) tells her the story of her birth and
how she has prayed for this to happen beforehands. What mother doesn't
tell though is that she helped for her prayers to come true quite a bit,
and in a disturbing way, too ...
My Little Miracle is
good fun, in a rather dark sort of way. And the basic punchline here is
the discrepancy of the mother's story (which is awefully cheesy) and the
on-screen goings-on (which are disturbing to say the least) - though
essentially, the mother's story is truthful apart from the fact that she
leaves out a few bits. And thanks to a directorial effort that presses all
the right buttons at the right times, this works out really well, too.
a watch for sure - unless you're pregnant of course.
