So there's this evil evil Black Ninja (David Chung), who is
slaughtering a scientist at a golf court and pretty much everyone who gets
in his way as well, but ultimately he is gunned down by the cops ...
but even mortally wounded, the ninja manages to escape, and survive until
he runs across Christie (Lucinda Dickey), a maintenance worker for the
telephone company, whom he hands his sword and his soul before breathing
his last ... but of course, Christie has no ideaj that she is now
possessed by a ninja, and she lives on as if nothing had happened.
Eventually, Christie and cop Billy (Jordan Bennett) fall in love - but
Billy is one of the cops who killed the ninja, and every now and again,
Christie feels the urge to kill him. Also every now and again, Christie
dons the Black Ninja outfit and goes out and kills the other cops
responsible for the death of the Black Ninja, and she has no recollection
of it once she returns home. It's not long before Billy finds out that his
girlfriend is really behind all the killings, but he shields her, and
eventually he makes the acquaintance of Yamada (Sho Kosugi), a white ninja
master who tells her about the unique condition of his girlfriend and
urges him to send Christie to him so he can transfer the Black Ninja's
soul back into the Black Ninja's body and then kill him - and of course,
transferring the soul goes A-ok, then Yamada and the Black Ninja, who
immediately comes back from the dead, fight and Yamada of course defeats
and kills his opponent ... and well, the world is saved ...
Three words: OH - MY - GOD !!!
What a piece of crap this is: I mean I can accept a bit of ninja magic,
but transmigration of souls ? And let me point out, this is not a
comedy, either. It's not even bad in a funny way, it's just bad.
Basically what you find in this film is a collection of sloppily staged
action scenes, held together by an increasingly silly script with horror
overtones, and spiced up with a few aerobic scenes complete with those
terrible aerobic outfits (heck, those were the 1980's, there have to be
some aerobic scenes, right ?). Add to this a bunch of untalented actors
trying to find their way through some rock-bottom dialogue, and a terrible
synthie-pop score (again, those were the 1980's), and the result is this
horrific piece of junk.
You might want to avoid this one ...
