Doctor William Benson (Stelio Candelli) is called off to a patient a stormy
night, but on the way there he witnesses a car accident, & saves lovely
driver Susan (Rita Calederoni) from the carwreck. When she fainsts, he tries to
get help from a nearby castle, but when he enters, he finds noone there ... but
a book with Satanic spells in which he reads - which turns the whole castle
topsy turvey, presenting William with a series of scenes of sex, violence &
decay, before - much to his surprise - he meets Susan, the girl from the
accident again, but she now claims she is Evelyn & he is her long lost
lover Peter, & of course she seduces him ...
The next day, Susan (the real Susan apparently) arrives at the castle in
search of William - essebntially to scold him for leaving her behind. Instead
though she meets the educated Count (James Harris) who invites her to stay at
the castle, at least to freshen up, an offer she gladly accepts ... & in
best Euro-horror-style, she is soon seduced to some lesbian sex as well.
Later, when wandering the castle grounds (curiously enough only dressed in a
towel), she meets William again, who turns out to be a lusting old man - &
of course, it's not the real William at all but his splitting image Peter.
Later at night, when she cannot ysleep, Susan witnesses a Black Mass the
Count holds, & fleeing in terror, she falls into a spider's net & is
promptly attacked by a spider (maybe the worst looking ever to grace the
screens). She cries out for help, for William ... & wouldn't you know it,
he hears her while in bed with her splitting image Evalyn, & it immediately
dawns on him that there's something fishy going on.
Finally having saved Susan, the 2 of them confront the Count, who informs
them they are his prisoners. But William, the he-man, wants more than the
count's word for it, & tries to flee the castle grounds, but soon finds out
he has entered a surreakl maze ... & finally he has to confront his own
splitting image Peterm, who turns out to be his alter ego, his subconscious if
you may, as Evelyn is Susan's. & eVelyn soon possesses Susan & starts
to have sex with Peter, much to William's horror, with a few naked boys &
girls soon joining in, & the Count watching rather delighted ...
But then William remembers the book of spells he has read in ea´rlier on
that starrted the horror, & decides to read a little further to find out
how to end it all again ... & the book tells him he has to burn the whole
place down, which eh promptly does, waking up in his car again ...
This movie has less of a conventional plot of a hero/heroine fighting a
monster & winning in the end but pushes its protagonists into an almost
surreal nightmare, that every now & again defies both narrative logic &
the laws of nature - that everything is at some points blamed on Satan is by no
means vital for the story. This doesn't mean Nude for Satan is a
brainheavy & artsy experiment in storytelling though - the inclusion of
some blunt sex scenes, ridiculous movie monsters & bad over-the-top acting
so typical for Euro horrors prevent this -, it is however a funny little
shocker that tries to steer into a little different a direction.
