As a young rocket-scientist (Lester Brown) inherits a fortune, he &
his older colleaguer( William Mayer)decide to build a rocket & go to
the moon. But surprise, injstead of the barren rocky landscape one would
expect to find on the moon, they enter a luch green country. But that's
not all, they also encounter a nudist colony of moon-people, who first
take them prisoner, but soon their queen (Marietta) like all moon people
a telepath, senses their noble intentions & lets them roam free on
the moon to explore the moon-people's habits (which is mainly letting
them watch doing what nudists do) Sure enough, Lester Brown soon falls
in love with Marietta, & also soon enough, our voyeuristic scientist
friends soon run low on oxygen & have to go back to earth,
unfortunately leaving all proof of the moon-nudists' existence behind.
Once on earth again, they notice there's no way of going back to the
moon, which might be just as well, since Brown finds in his secretary
(also Marietta), who has been secretely in love with him for a long
time, the personification of his moon-queen anyway.
As so many early nudist movies this is sometimes charming (the basic
plot is a hoot, as are our astronauts space suits) sometimes dull (it
tends to get boring to just see nudists do whatever nudists do)
entertainment, maybe giving too much room to the sci-fi-plot - the
preparations for the space journey are equally pointless as
time-consuming, taking up half of the screen-time).
