When Carol (Vivienne Raimon) wins an international beauty contest, all
the other contestants grow suspicious: How can a girl from the UK have
such an even suntan? Their suspicion grows into jealousy pretty soon, so
Carol finds herself forced to explain: She's a naturist, and thus spends
every summer at a nudist camp, and the entire summer, too. Now the other
girls grow curious, and pretty much on the spot they decide to all go to a
nudist camp - unfortunately, you can't book a group trip to a nudist camp
on such short notice, so there's no vacancy ... causing the girls to do
the next best thing, opening a nudist camp on their own on the grounds of
Lord Greystone (Geoffrey Denton), who leaves them their estate for the
summer he spends in Europe - without knowing of course the girls will host
nudists from all over the country on his premises. The nudist camp soon
becomes a big success ... The villagers of the next village, a
conservative flock, are less than enthusiastic about their new, nude
neighbours, and they show their disdain openly, too, all but police
officer Roberts (Douglas Cameron), who keeps the girls out of trouble.
Especially local convenience store owner Mrs Haines (Joyce Gregg)
mobilizes the locals to go against the nudists. She eventually even
organizes a protest march ... The girls though have heard about the
condition of Mrs Haines' daughter and have decided to organize a charity
event with all the profits to be donated so she can get surgery in the USA
- but Mrs Haines of course doesn't know that yet when she and her
protesters show up at Greystone Manor ... which is when out of nowhere
Lord Greystone shows up to mediate the situation, and to hand the money
for her daughter's surgery over to a speechless Mrs Haines. But where
does he come from? He has been called back from vacation by a worried
officer Roberts. And why does he help the nudist girls without any
reservation? Because he's a nudist himself, and has been spending his
holiday at a nudist camp in Europe ... Pretty much your typical
nudist camp movie: An enjoyably feeble plotline directs the film into one
direction and one direction only: To show quite some (topless) nudity,
while at the same time painting an idealist picture of nudist camps and
the nudist culture as such. Especially from today's point of view, the
naivité and actual innocence of this film is almost endearing - oh, and
all the girls have pretty lovely breasts, too. In all, this is probably
not a film for everyone, as one has to be in the right mindset for a
vintage nudist movie, but if you are, chances are high you will like this
one ...
