Kira (Skyler Wexler) has miraculously survived last episode's accident with hardly a scratch, and yet her mum Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) wants revenge. Of course she doesn't know that her crazy clone (also Tatiana Maslany) never wanted anything to happen to Kira, and that as a punishment for not killing Kira, her monitor Tomas (Daniel Kash) has locked her in a cage. And to be released, Helena has to relie on Sarah.

Fellow clone Cosima (Tatiana Maslany again) is devastated that her girlfriend Delphine (Evelyne Brochu) has obviously betrayed her trust and spilt some of her secrets do Dr. Leekie (Matt Frewer), whom all iterations of Sarah believe to be behind it all - and that even though Cosima suspected Delphine to be her monitor.

Another clone, Alison (yep, also Tatiana Maslany) has fled her nice family home after the scandal she caused last episode, but has to return to pick up things, to find all neighbours awaiting her for an intervention, of course organized by local gossiper Aynsley (Natalie Lisinska), whom Alison believes to be her monitor. And that makes Alison blow her top and she finally tells her in front of everyone what she thinks about her - and it's not nice.

Art (Kevin Hanchard), the partner of the deceased clone Beth, finally finds out that it was indeed Beth who had killed herself and Sarah had taken on her identity for a while - but that said, he fails to make heads or tails of the whole clone business.

Helena calls Sarah to free her from the cage she's in - but Sarah brings a gun, only to realize she can't shoot who's essentially another version of herself, however insane. And then Tomas shows up, and Sarah convinces Helena that he's the bad guy of the situation, and ultimately she manages to have Tomas locked up in a cage, Helena tied up in her trunk, and think she has at least some of her problems resolved, when her foster mother (Maria Doyle Kennedy) introduces her to her real (in vitro) mother, Amelia (Melanie Nicholls-King), who tells her she was to give birth to Sarah in exchange for a better life while Sarah was to be given up to sciense, but she run away when she heard what the scientists had in store for the kid, to later leave Sarah in the care of the state. She also reveals Sarah had a twin sister whom she gave to the church - Helena.

As the penultimate episode of the first season of Orphan Black, this episode does its best to drum up things for what hopefully will be an epic finale - and for the first time in the series, it kind of over-reaches, as this episode feels a bit too heterogenic on a narrative level, as it seems hell-bent to make things even more mysterious, but only confuses the audience more, while other narrative threads end in the nowhere - like Alison's intervention, which was at least funny - or make little sense - like Cosima breaking down over Delphine having given up her secrets even though it was clear from the get-go that that's what Delphine would do. That said, there's still plenty of tension and excitement in this episode, and it sure whets one's appetite for things to come.
