The farm of the Wilsons (Jack Campbell, Anna Lise Phillips, Hamish
Phillips, Katie Moore) is facing foreclosure because their lifestock is
slaughterted in droves by what only eventually is revealed to be dogs. Of
course, the bank manager (Charles Mayer) who tells them this news is
eventually killed by wild dogs as well before they put the Wilsons' farm
under siege. The Wilsons are quick to call the police, but the policeman
who comes to their rescue is killed by the dogs instead. Then dad (Jack
Campbell) makes a run for the car, and he's attacked but survives with
hardly a scratch - and somehow the family makes it through the night and
offs all the wild dogs in the process. The Pack is a
rather tired piece of animal horror, basically because it follows the
formula much too closely, has hardly any surprise in store, the ending is
almost too happy, and shocks and suspense are of a conveyor belt quality
at best. Lovers of animal horror will probably still enjoy it, but it's
hardly anything special.
