Twenty-something Pablo (Juan Cano) feels of late his life hasn't turned
out quite the way it was supposed to. He's a trained and skilled actor,
and yet all he amounts to is being a fake patient for training sessions at
the holistic center. And of late things have taken a turn for the worse,
as his boyfriend has left him, his sublet has moved out still owing him
two months of rent, he can't afford his beloved dog anymore and has moved
her to his parents, and weird things start happening in his apartment,
like things dropping to the floor and breaking that weren't supposed to
drop, and weird noises heard at all hours of day and night - almost as if
his apartment was haunted by a ghost. And that's actually exactly what it
is, as the apartment came with an old quilt that was possessed by a ghost.
Through many sessions with his peers from all walks of life, Pablo slowly
comes to terms with the existance of a ghost within his four walls, and
slowly he learns how to use this to his own advantage ... Now
one can't but fall in love with the central concept of the film, it's on
one hand a slice-of-life film very much in line with the work of Eric
Rohmer, where drama always meets comedy, the mundane the dramatic, but on
the other hand it's also a ghost story - a very unusual one mind you, with
a low creep factor, but still it lends the proceedings a whole other
dimension. And a subtle direction paired with some strong performances and
a light-footed approach to things all see to it that this is a very
enjoyable little movie.
