She (Diana Porter) is a timid little wallflower who has finally found
somewhere to belong to - a "Christian" hate-group for which she
paints picket signs saying stuff like "Fags Burn" and the like.
Does she really believe in this stuff? Well, her conservative apparel
suggests she does, but the suitcase full of money suggests she might just
be misguided. A phonecall - and half an hour later, the woman finds
herself in a derelict building, the suitcase full of money in hand. And
while she might have deceived herself she has been serving a higher cause,
what awaits her in that building most certainly originated from quite a
few floors below heaven ... In a mere 4:30 or thereabouts, Picket
manages to tell a heck of a lot of story and message (most of which ripe
for interpretation of course) into very little time - and works admirably
that way, as it doesn't shove the message down its audience's collective
throat at all but creates a mean little horror film around it, with the
proper suspense, shocks and effects in all the right places. Really
good, actually!
