Raven (Daniel Harris) gets drunk in the bar of his choice again, so
much so that the barkeeper (Nathan Lowe) has to drag him home. But in the middle of the
night, Raven is awakened ... no, not back to the real world, to his
subconscious, where a demon attacks and injures him - but Raven is not one
to frighten easily, and he soon unmasks the demon not to be a demon at all
but Jason (Ryan Francis), a frightened (and dead) teenager who has taken
his life ten years ago but now needs his mum (Susan Danzig) to finally
find closure on this ... Even though this short looks and feels
like a horror movie (even more so than the previous one, The Waiting
Room), it's really much more about grief and overcoming grief, in a
story told via two very unlikely characters - but a well-structured
script, capable cast, and subtle direction make this work nevertheless ...
