After mum (Erica Washa) has been taken away to a psychiatric clinic
because she claimed to see ghosts and was thus diagnosed with
schizophrenia, 10 year old Raven (Simon Witt) and his dad (John Gordon)
have a rather gloomy dinner together. Raven could apparently do with some
comfort, but his dad is way too much the intellectual to notice that. Then
Raven claims he can see his mother's ghost, which makes his dad lose it,
and he calls his son either a schizophreniac of an attention seeker -
until he receives a phonecall that changes just about everything ... A
very short short (just about 2 minutes), Reflections is
nevertheless a good spooker in the Twilight
Zone tradition of things, as well as a cool teaser for the
series as such, working on the principle of less is more (as in, just two
persons in a room, no special effects and as little action as possible)
and playing on mere creepiness rather than full-blown spectacle - and it
works like a charm!
