Seth (Sergio Castillo) and Michelle (Kat Pena) are out on a date ...
but it goes very badly, because Seth can't stop talking about Reina, whom
Michelle believes to be his ex-girlfriend, and it's only later revealed
that Reina's only his dog. So eventually, Michelle just hightails it, but
somehow Seth manages to catch up with her and have one last drink at a
little bar around the corner - but when they enter the place, they find no
customers or personnel, just three big Russian guys (Travis Mitchell, Ron
Orlovsky, Woodrow Proctor) who are about the ransack the place, and who
now of course have to take Seth and Michelle captive. Things take an
unexpected turn when one of the Russians inquires that Seth tells him the
story about his dog Reina ... A great little comedy that
skillfully combines a situation the audience puts certain expectations in
with a totally surprising and enjoyably absurd twist to leave the audience
in a very unexpected place - and good writing that puts an emphasis on
colourful characters, and a strong cast really make this work.
