After the latest victim of a serialkiller is found, the FBI butts in,
and the Reno crew of the Reno police department (Cedric Yarbrough, Niecy Nash,
Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey,
Kerry Kenney) is degraded to securing the perimeter and serving the FBI
bigwigs coffee on demand. Actually, all of the officers in the department
think they are FBI material, but when you see them playing around with a
corpse or blowing up a microwave just so the county has to buy them a new
one, you might be less than convinced. Eventually, the FBI solves the
case, too, and shows its appreciation to the Reno police department by
giving them a bottle of champagne while the Reno officers are still eaten
up by envy. In another story arc, less-than-great-looking officer Wiegel
(Kerry Kenney) finally gets a date - with weirdo Craig (Kyle Dunnigan).
Though still quite some fun, this is one of the lesser episodes of Reno
911! - basically, while giving some insight into its main
characters via its narration, it lacks the offensive humour and the
laugh-out-loud stupid jokes of other episodes.
