Rather by accident, Deputy Wiegel (Kerry Kenney) leaves her car running
inside a closed garage and is almost killed by the fumes - and since she
always did show some signs of depression, this is classified as a suicide
attempt, and she is put under 72 hours suicide watch - which she totally
enjoys because of all the attention she gets for a change. Ultimately this
gets her so excited that she shoots an armed robber when he tries to give
himself up. Everybody did his or her turn during suicide watch but
deputies Raineesha (Niecy Nash) and Garcia (Carlos Alazraqui), who can't
really stand ther - and thus they are assigned to an undercover operation,
trying to make an arrest during a wedding ... and yet their target never
shows up, but against all odds, the two of them, who weren't exactly fond
of each other until now, land in bed together ... Finally, the 72 hours
ofr suicide watch are over, and Wiegel and her colleagues are celebrating
- until Wiegel confesses everything was just a misunderstanding, at which
point everybody suddenly cools off towards her, upon which she threatens
to really kill herself this time ... but chances are that she's way too
drunk this time to succeed ... A pretty funny episode
considering the seriousness of the basic premise (attempted suicide), and
finally an opportunity for Wiegel to shine as a character.
