Rather innocently, young Nancy (Judith Taylor) photographs two hunters
(James Nolan, George N.Neise) - thing is, the two hunters want the photo
and even threaten her to get their hands on it. But she's able to escape
them at first. Back at the lodge where she lives, she locks herself in -
and proves herself to be not quite as innocently as she seemed but an
investigative reporter on the two hunters' trail, as they seem to have
something to do with organized crime. Luckily, Nancy has a date this
evening with Richard Diamond, private detective this evening, who at first
has no idea what's exaactly going on, but whom she soon uses as her
bodyguard and her ticket out of town. But as they are on their way to the
airport, their adversaries have taken up pursit - and get so unpleasant
that Diamond intentionally crashes his car as a decoy, and he and Nancy
make their further getaway on foot - while one of the baddies, Carlin
(James Nolan) kills his friend and throws him into the burning carwreck,
as he wanted to get rid of him for a long time. It's only later that
Carlin learns Diamond and Nancy have survived the carwreck, and now he
tracks them down with the help of his hunting dog ... but in the end,
Diamond defeats Carlin in a fistfight in a local lake - and he even gets a
second date with Nancy. Ok crimedrama that certainly has a few
holes in it, but is still exciting enough as a whole to work nevertheless.
Nothing great maybe, but still good TV-entertainment.
