During the Civil War, "Colonel" Quantrill (Bill Ferrill) has
pretty much abandoned the Confederate army to become a "free
agent", raiding money and weapons shipments from both sides of the
conflict ... and his headquarters is basically a brothel where his men can
get what they lack in the battlefield ... Marsha (Josie Kirk) was
brought in by Quantrill's second in command Doolin (Frenchy Le Boyd), a
professional rapist if there ever was one, but somehow he hasn't broken
the spirits of the brothel's madame Irene (C.C. Chase), who passes secret
information on to undercover agent Mike (Hale Williams), who makes sure
Quantrill's nefarious schemes are thwarted - that is, until Mike kills
Irene, then rapes Marsha, who tried to escape, into submission ... but it
all ends happily anyhow ... A roughie from the days before
hardcore porn, Ride a Wild Stud is really little more than just
finding enough hangers to hand sex and rape scenes on, with the more than
questionable undercurrents that all the women seem to enjoy being raped
after it goes on long enough - which today's audiences might find
politically incorrect and rightfully so. But at the same time, to get too
worked up about the movie would mean to give it more notoriety than it
actually deserves, it's just a little dirty Western from the late 1960s
that's not even all that good, and that might be enjoyed as a trip down
nostalgia lane - if you don't expect all that much ...
