Leo (Xander Turian) comes home from work to find his loving wife
Kat (Sarah Giercksky) waiting for him, alluding to a bit of sex later on -
and that's when things start falling apart, as Leo attacks, strangles and
rapes his wife for no good reason, only to moments later find her stabbed
to death and mutilated in the bath tub. But it's only when she
starts to talk that he really freaks out ... Rotten Love
sure is a creepy piece of horror, thanks to its very atmospheric
directorial effort that delivers a proper feeling of unease, but also the
film's cast carries the story with all sincerity needed. And regarding
writing, this one's really clever both in structure and in pay-off,
getting really much out of a story that's actually rather skeletal. Well
worth a watch for sure!
