Joann (Lynn Tufeld) and Hope (Jewel Blanch) hitch a ride with Charlie
(Barry Miller), but he's such a wild driver that he is soon chased by a
police car, and when trying to escape, he almost crashes into a truck and
goes over a cliff - good thing then that local superheroine Isis (JoAnna
Cameron) is on hand to save the kids. Joann swears on the spot to never
hitchhike again, and she doesn't. Hope on the other hand hops into
Charlie's car just a few days later, and he treats her for another wild
ride - but then his car develops a fault and comes to a halt right on some
traintracks, with a train (of course) rapidly approaching. And only by
chance is Isis on hand again to save them, upon which it seems they have
all learned their lesson. A bit of car action makes this one of
the better episodes of the series, but that doesn't mean it's really good
either, as it's way too heavy-handed in trying to bring acrross its
message, don't hitch-hike - a message that doesn't seem all that
important to me.
