Steve (Harry Gold) is a big show-off and constantly gets into trouble
because of the risks he's taking. Thank God superheroine Isis (JoAnna
Cameron) is always at hand to save him. Isis though is actually the secret
identity of Steve's teacher Andrea Thomas (also of course JoAnna Cameron),
who one day, in her teacher persona, gives Steve a good talk and finds out
that Steve's taking all these risks only because he wants to hide his
interest in ornithology. He promises to take no more unnecessary risks
though ... Later, Steve and a few others are holed up in a caved in cave
with an escaped gorilla ... but thank God Isis flies by once again and
rescues them by mentally linking to the gorilla. It's only then that Steve
admits to everyone he's a pastime ornithologist. A bit of a
wasted opportunity: Finally, Isis comes face to face with a gorilla - a
man in an unconvincing monkeysuit actually, but that's part of the charm -
and all she does is establish a mental link ... what a disappointment!
That the rest of the episode is rather badly written, and the first half
has little to do with the second doesn't even matter too much in that
respect, it's actually the boring gorilla scenes that are the show's real
let-down.
