After her sister Tiffany (Violet Sweet) has diosappeared in the jungles
of Costa Rica, Carla (Carla Anderson) has decided to go and track her
down. What Carla doesn't know of course is that Tiffany has been captured
by the Clitorians, a race of female aliens who have crashlanded on earth
ages ago and now live inside a volcano and who want to make Tiffany the
bride of their supernatural Master (Mr Creepo). And the Clitorians have
long been aware of Carla roaming the jungle and have secretly been
following her for ages. And when Carla comes too close to the truth, they
simply kidnap her. With Carla being just as pretty and as feisty as her
sister, the Clitorians have a dilemma - whom to marry to their Master.
They let the Master himself decide, who ... chooses both - hey, after all
he is a dirty old man, right? Anyways, there is a bit of a hiccup in the
whole affair, the Master's brides have to be virgins, and Tiffany and
Carla both have lost their virginity ages ago - actually, even the
assumption that they are virgins makes them laugh. This means they not
only cannot be married to the Master, as a consequence, the volcano the
Clitorians live in errupts, too, destroying their kingdom, and only
Tiffany and Carla manage to escape - and the Master, who, freed from the
race of woman he had to look after, moves on to other galaxies. If
you are like me a sucker for great titles, you simply have to have a film
calles Skin Eating Jungle Vampires, no matter what. You have to
have it. Even if you know the film probably won't live up to its great
title (they rarely ever do) ... And of course, Skin Eating Jungle
Vampires doesn't live up to its promise, basically it's just a cheaply
shot jungle adventure with science fiction elements and cheap special
effects attached to it, with quite a bit of topless nudity thrown in, just
for good measure. The film has its weaknesses, like its lack of proper
pacing, but also its strengths, like its less-than-serious approach,
consciously campy elements and quite a bit of gore, and overall is a film
you will probably have half forgotten as soon as you have watched it. But
with a title as great as Skin Eating Jungle Vampires, how can you
resist watching it? I know I can't.
