Finally, cops Alison (Kaiti Wallen) and Jones (Brett Stanfield) find a
witness in the disappearance of Amber, dancer at the Tails stripclub, who
claims she has seen the club's owner Nick (Harley Wallen) carrying her
dead body out of the club - but then Alison does a little research and
finds too many holes in the witness's story, including that she's paid off
by the very biker gang trying to take over Nick's club. So even if she's
the most adamant at taking Nick in as she's convinced of his guilt she
votes for dismissing the witness - and then they receive a gift from
heaven when Nick's bouncer Gar (Dominique Alexander), whom they had to
dismiss last episode, is arrested on larcency charges, and might be up for
a deal to save his own hide. Meanwhile at Nick's club, things start
falling apart, especially when one of the girls, Scarlet (Alyssa Caswell)
refuses to do sexual favours to the customers, so much so that Nick thinks
about shutting down - still having one last trick up his sleeve though ... Another
very cool episode, and one that gives a fair portrayal of the downward
spiral both Nick and also the investigations against him are on, and one
that sets up the season finale rather nicely by moving some major
plotpoints along - so in short clever storytelling that both serves the
episode's individual plot and leaves one craving for more.
