Basically, Terror Dope takes a look at the hardcore techno
subculture - but not so much the musical side of it (you actually learn
very little, maybe too little, about the music as such), but about the
fans, their lifestyle, their thoughts about life as such, the role the
music plays in their life, their views on drugs, death, tattoos and
piercings, violence, suicide and the like. And what makes this
film very interesting is its honesty, it just lets its protagonists (a
handful of young men, some with rather troubled pasts) talk, and without
judging, too, even if some of the things these guys say are not exactly
what everyone might want to hear - which makes these people very palpable,
and while one might not exactly identify with their views and actions,
also very relateable. So in all a very intersting and unusual movie!
