After another rescue mission, Chip, a young boy, has sneaked aboard one
of International Rescue's Thunderbirds as a stowaway just out of
curiosity, and suddenly he finds himself on the organisation's secret
island, much to the dismay of International Rescue's patriarch Jeff Tracy,
who considers the boy a security threat. He tells his men - Tracy's sons,
all of them - not to give the boy any further information, but the boy's
innocent curiosity makes each of the Tracy-boys tell young Chip abouot his
favourite mission with International Rescue. This leaves Jeff tracy
fuming, until the young boy makes even him give up some information.
Ultimately, Chip is brought back to his home in England, wehre it's the
middle of the night, with nobody even noticing he has been gone, and his
stories about International Rescue sound like some very vivid dream as a
result. This last episode of Thunderbirds' season
one is little more than a Best Of, as it consists almost entirely
of (special effects) footage from earlier episodes - which is good,
because it allows one to revisit some of the series' highlights, but is
bad because the framing story really sucks, plus the effects taken
out of context seem a bit lifeless and cold and lack any real excitement.
