Even though baddie the Hood has just blown up a next generation atomic
powerplant in Australia, a new one is built pretty much right away - and
no question, the Hood wants to ... find out its secrets, using the Mighty
Atom, a robot mouse with a built-in camera he has just stolen from some
secret agency. After the mouse has delivered the photos of the
powerstation he wanted, the Hood figures it might be a good idea to blow
up this powerstation as well, just to call in International Rescue and
this way learn the secrets of their Thunderbirds by having the Mighty Atom
infiltrate them. Of course, International Rescue arrives on the scene on
time, and they rescue everything there is to rescue ... but what about the
Hood's spy-mouse? Well, he hadn't taken into account that Lady Penelope
was accompanying our International Rescue heroes, and at the sight of the
mouse she freaked out - and thus, all photos the mouse took are of the
panicking woman. Upon seeing that, the Hood smashes the Mighty Atom into
atoms ... The plot of this episode of Thunderbirds
is extremely silly, yet it is one of the better episodes of the series ...
mainly because the images of the atomic powerplant going up are
breathtaking, great miniatures, great special effects and explosions,
great everything. After that, the espionage-mouse subplot ios a bit of a
setback, but at least there are more great miniatures and explosions along
the way ...
