Bud Gay (Tong Ka Fai) pays a visit to his friend, gangster Son (Michael
Tong), but soon he has to find out Tong acts kind of weirdly, and it turns
out that he is possessed by the ghost of a baby boy. Initial attempts to
exorcise the ghost only anger him and his ghost-mother (Chung Kit-Yee), so
Bud Gay thinks it best to call in reinforcements: His cousin Bud Yan
(Cheung Ho Lung), who has some special instincts when it comes to ghosts
... but he gets in a fight with the ghost mother and is gravely injured.
Now Bud Gay sees it fit to call in the cavallery, meaning his mother, the famed
exorcist Mrs Bud (Law Lan) - who soon finds out the ghost that possesses
Son is an unborn child which the ghost mother took with her to her watery
grave when she took her own life, and she now only wants the boy to be
reborn and live again ... which isn't as easy as it sounds since the
unborn actually wasn't born in the first place, so how can he be reborn? Anyways,
Mrs Bud finds a ceremony that gives the boy reincarnation-rights, and
everything ends happily. Rather weak horror film that lacks
proper buildup and even the little buildup that the film has is hampered
by rather bad comedy. On top of that, the finale is positively
underwhelming to the point of being a total disappointment. Definitely
not worth your time!
