After having spent 20 years in South America, Science Patrolman Gotoh
returns to Japan, but there's something funny about him - and eventually
it turns out that he is not a human at all but a bloodsucking plant
creature from outer space, and he grows at such an exceptional pace that
he's soon a giant monster that giant robot Ultraman (Bin Furuya) has to
take care of while the Science Patrol is busy to shoot the UFOs out of
space Gotoh has led to earth. But at the end, our world is saved once
again from alien invaders. A very goofy looking monster, UFOs
and a giant robot versus plant creature fighting scene - there really
isn't much that can go wrong with this one (at least if your tastes tend
towards the trashy and childish), and thus this is rather entertaining in
its own way.
