On the run after a heist, a gang of crooks shoots one of their own and
leaves him to die - but Jim Gantry (Peter Miller) survives, paralyzed and
unable to speak. US marshal Frank Morgan (John Bromfield) decides to use
him as bait though, and soon a woman (Ruta Lee) shows up claiming to be
his wife ... but she soon enough starts to act mighty suspicious, so
Morgan has her tailed by his deputy Ferguson (James Griffith), who soon
finds out that she is the leader of the gang behind the heist, but then
she and her accomplices (Robert Fortier, Steve Rowland) jump him, tie him
up and plan to use him as hostage and his police uniform and police car to
easier get through police checkpoints. However, Ferguson manages to free
himself, call for help and keep the crooks at bay until Morgan arrives
with backup to apprehend the baddies. There are a few great
moments in this story, like when Ruta Lee tries to poison paralyzed Peter
Miller before his very eyes and he can do absolutely nothing about it, but
as a whole, this is just a routine if not bad crime drama.
