Hubby (Joe Ryan) and wife (Vanessa Daniels) take a vacation at
his deceased father's farm because he needs to get away from his job for a
while. Once in the country, they meet his childhood sweetheart (Monica
Knight), and while wife finds out she's finally pregnant, hubby rapes
sweetheart. But as if that wasn't bad enough, we soon find out that back
in the city, hubby has killed his boss, that sweetheart is actually
his sister, and that he may have inherited the madness from his father ...
and before you know it, hubby wants to kill wife. Wife is saved by
sweetheart/hubby's sister, but now she wants to perform an abortion on
wife, and is only stopped by bearttraps (really) ... A very
simplistic and essentially silly psychothriller (though it tries
everything to appear intelligent), that doesn't suffer as much from its
weak plot though as it suffers from its slow pacing, that makes all the
story's inconsistencies all the more apparent. Add to this an impersonal,
at best funcional directorial effort and you're left with ... not a total
loss, maybe, but a film you really didn't need to see ...
