Red (Redd Nicholson) wakes up all naked in a room unfamiliar to her but
is quick to find some clothes and then goes exploring - to soon be joined
by Luse (Carly Halse), a low level engineer in the house Red has woken up
in ... which happens to be the Slasher House, a place where the
gouvernment tries to turn serial killers into fightiing machines - a
program seemingly fit for Red as she has killed many a serial killer in
her time. Only Red actually wanted to kill, but her own dad Francis (Grant
Kempster) has chosen her for the program anyhow, and now Red has to fight
for her survival - pretty much kill or be killed. However, before long
Francis becomes irritated by his daughter's reluctance to kill for the
killing's sake, so he tries to make his foster daughter Amber (Luna Wolf)
into the ultimate fighting machine. But with a house full of serial
killers, things soon get out of control ...
Frankly, with all that many serial killers and a complex
backstory, Slasher House 3 is at times a tad hard to follow - and
in the case of this movie, this doesn't matter at all, as what's really
fun about this film is its many bizarre killer characters, inventive kills
and many an in-joke, as the film seems to be well aware of its premise's
absurdity ... and just has fun with it. And a genre savvy directorial
effort, a brisk pace, and a cast well in on the joke while playing
it straight all help make this one pretty cool horror experience.
