In an attempt to kill young Akira (Takashi Sato), youngest of the Zone
family, with a remote controlled toy boat, evil alien organisation
Garoga instead blind his friend Jiro (Hiroyuki Kawase), and since the boy was
blinded on his behalf, Akira volunteers to donate his own cornea to save
him. But in the hospital, he's attacked by Garoga henchmen - but
fortunately his siblings Hikaru (Kazuya Aoyama) and Hotaru (Kazumi
Kitahara) are on hand to chase away the baddies, then the three go after
them - and of course the Dagora fly in their giant monster of the week,
two-headed Destro-King, and it's up to Hikaru to grow to giant size and
beat up and destroy the monster ... Formulaic as a clockwork
and clichéed to the hilt, this is still some fun to watch for its
campiness and its predictability - and of course for another fun monster
and a decent monster fight. Of course, you better not look for objective
quality here, but as a piece of vintage giant monster silliness, this
one's quite entertaining.
