The world has just ended, and this has thrown a dent into the business
of gynecologist Lieke (Natasja Schaafsma). But then two women enter her
office, Anne (Joyce Tevreden) and the seriously injured Sky (Isis Caljé).
They initially behave hostile, but when Lieke can convince them she's a
doctor whom they need to take care of Sky's injury (even though that's not
her speciality), they're quick to see her point. Sky passes out during
treatment, and while she's unconscious, Lieke makes friends with Anne, and
it soon becomes clear that the women are more than a little attracted to
one another. Then though Sky wakes up and asks Anne to kill Lieke, who
she's convinced is a traitor ...
Filmed as entry to the 48 Hour Film Project Groningen,
this has turned out to be a pretty lively short that combines elements of
the post apocalyptic and the romance genre in a way that leads to a rather
elaborate and well-choreographed martial arts finale, and does so in a
rather light-footed way,. thanks to witty dialogue but also likeable
performances by the three leads. And clocking in at just about 8 minutes,
this one's definitely worth your while.
