He's (Jackson Batchelor) a masked killer in hat and coat who's always
careful to choose the right weapon for the job, so the couple (Ross Doney,
Jessica Hunt) who just had sex in the car gets it differently from the
woman fixing up her apartment (Ella Palmer) - but only their untimely
deaths mean a job well done ...
Now storywise, Passion isn't exactly treading any new
ground, but it's just very good at what it is, a stylish serialkiller
thriller reminiscent of Italian giallos from the 1970s and 80s,
with a couple of very well staged, violent setpieces, a bit of appropriate
knife fetishism, a killer with a fashion sense, and of course a twist
ending. So if you're at all into vintage horror, this is more than likely
to appeal to you - a lot.
