On the outside, Marissa's (Amanda Figueroa) life seems to be perfect, she's married to a loving husband, Kris (Michael Patrick Lane) who makes enough money to provide for them both so she can follow her dream to become a singer/songwriter, while he's running a promising campaign to become the state's youngest D.A. But Marissa also finds this life suffocating, as while her songwriting career doesn't actually go anywhere, Kris expects her to be an obedient wife and her mother-in-law (Cilda Shaur) doesn't leave out any opportunity to mention to her she expects Marissa to have her son's children. And then she meets tall and handsome Slade (Lukas Hassel) in a park who has by pure chance found out about her secret predilection for kinky videos, and he invites her to a fetish club. Of course, Marissa is hesitant to go at first, but he knows exactly how to play her, and eventually she gives in and ultimately lets him spank her to Kingdom Come. A dirty little secret that doesn't hurt anyone one might guess - but there's more to this, as the fetish club is actually run by Slade's wife Olivia (Natasha Henstridge), and she's all but happy about her husband's sudden obsession with Marissa - so much so that she plans to retaliate ...

A very nice little erotic thriller that manages to downplay the luridness of its subject matter and instead offers a multi-layered character study while at the same time keeping things tense and erotically charged throughout. And while the direction packs all this into well set up pictures, the ensemble cast gives uniformly strong performances, with Amanda Figueroa deserving a special mention for properly bringing her complex and conflicted character to life in a relatable way.
