In Beirut, top model Emanuelle (Sharon Lesley) has lost her memory, and
now it's up to doctor Paul (Angelo Infanti) to help her retrieve it. But
the weird thing is, when Paul gradually pulls one memory after the other
from Emanuelle's mind, he finds them weirdly altered, like when she claims
that John, the man who has saved her in Beirut, has tried to rape her, or
that her caring father (Don Powell) was a homeless drunk. Paul probes
further and further into Emanuelle's mind, but at first to no avail, he
only finds out everything has to do something with men in red helmets.
Emanuelle's ex-husband Fred adds a piece ot the puzzle: He tells Paul that
Emanuelle, did not want to have sex with him before their wedding, even
though she was no longer a virgin, , but once they got married, she became
sexually insatiable - so much so that she wore him out and he eventually
divorced her. While Paul still digs up facts about Emanuelle's past, she
makes friends with Sharon, Paul's niece and part time patient with an
alcoholic and nymphomanic streak, a girl who helps Emanuelle to open up
sexually. Finally, Paul finds out that a few years back, Emanuelle was
gangraped by a bunch of bikers in red helmets who then also killed her
brother. Once he learns this, Paul quickly heals Emanuelle, then lets her
choose between her father, her ex, or John, the man who saved her - when
someone arrives on a motorbike in a red helmet - it's Sharon, who
has come to fetch Emanuelle to join her on a fucking trip to HawaII. Emanuelle
chooses Sharon. Dagmar Lassander can be seen as Paul's neglected wife. Basically,
this is a sexploitation film that tries to be intelligent, too - not a bad
idea as such, but this film fails miserably, mainly because its
understanding of psychotherapy is way too simplistic and too ridiculous at
the same time, and because the sexual interludes don't always sit well
with the more serious parts of the story. The worst thing about this film
though: It's plain simply pretty boring, and while Sharon Lesley might
have some very nice (and quite big) natural breasts, she is no substitute
for the original Black Emanuelle's
Laura Gemser in any other way.
