After a car accident she cannot remember, pro golfer Nancy Irving (Cristina Raines) wakes up in a weird hospital where she is treated by suspicious doctor Marquis (Tony Anhold) & nurse Lee (Zienia Merton), who seem to seal her off from the rest of the world, & claim she has to stay here because she needs regular blood transfusions ... & her blood type is one of the rarest in the world (actually there seem to be only 50 people in all with the same blood type).

Of course, she soon finds out she is actually held prisoner, & she is not receiving blood donations but giving them (to incredibly wealthy Mr.Aragon [Marius Goring]), & the hospital is nothing meore than a set in Aragon's house, while outside, everything is prepared for the burial of Nancy Irving ... the body that died instead of her in the car accident ...

In the end though she manages to kill Aragon by injecting the insulin meant for her (she's diabetic) directly into the blood that is transfused into him. All of Aragon's helpers, with their boss who guards over them gone, escape into all different directions, & ultimately she can wait for the police she has just called sitting on Aragon's villa's doorstep undisturbed.

An overlong & totally messed up script cannot prevent this episode of Hammer House of Mystery & Suspense from remaining totally predictable ... about 2 minutes into the movie we learn that Nancy is followed by a mysterious man, 10 minutes into the movie we learn that she has a very rare blood-type ... it doesn't take a genius to find out where this all will lead to. Still the story goes on for 75 minutes in total, & gets more boring with every minute ...

Tony Anholt & Zienia Merton by the way also co-starred in the second season of Space 1999, about 7 years earlier.
