When flatmates Robin (Richard O'Sullivan), Chrissy (Paula Wilcox) &
Jo (Sally Thomsett) find the door to their appartment open & the moeny
for last month's rent gone, they are devastated, because there's just no
way to get their hands on 80 Pounds on short notice, at least not until
next month. & what's worse, their landlord George Roper (Brian Murphy)
mentions the word rent every time they bump into him, & every
time they see themselves forced to leave in a hurry ... Until they do a
little thinking & figure that is must have been Roper who has stolen
the money ... to which he freely admits when finally asked (in fact that's
what he wanted to tell them all the time), but to make everything legal,
he left his signature in their rent book.
There's only one problem - this month's rent !
As ever so often with Man About the House, the story as such is
incredibly lame, but superior storytelling & acting more than make up
for it.
