Jo (Sally Thomsett) has a new boyfriend, David (Steve Patterson), &
even if they have gone out for a while, he just doesn't come on to her -
which totally annoys her. So he invites him for a romantic candle light
dinner to her flat ... but since she is no good at cooking, she has to
force her flatmate Robin (Richard O'Sullivan), who desperately tries to
keep out of her lovelife, too cook for her - & he really outdoes
himself cooking a tsty roast pork ... but before David comes Jo throws him
& flatmate Chrissy (Paula Wilcox) out to spend an evening with their
neighbours (Brian Murphy, Yootha Joyce) - playing monopoly ... qhich is
where Robin & Chrissy learn that David is actually Jewish - & Jews
& roast pork for dinner traditionally don't go too well together.
So it comes as no big surprise that David did not only not try to come
on to Jo once again, but he also hid away the food he was supposed to eat
in a lamp ...
My synopsis might not make this episode sound too exciting, but the
story is actually funnily told & well acted.
