Times are tough, economically - and then Seth is (Mark Booker) laid off
work. Instead of telling his wife Amy (Cheri Bloomingdale) though he makes
frequent blood donations to shady Dr. Hermann (Aleksey Solodov), just to
keep them afloat. However, then Amy tells Seth she's pregnant, something
that blood donations alone would no longer cover - so Seth accepts Dr.
Hermann's offer to donate parts of his body - parts that if missing would
make it impossible for Amy not to notice ... First episode of a
Twilight
Zone like anthology series hosted by Melissa Holder as DJ
Raven, this is in a macabre way a very fun story that might be a little
bare bone when it comes to plot but it tells it in a very elegant way with
gruesome details in all the right places and a properly creepy punchline
at the very end. And while Mark Booker and Cheri Bloomingdale play it
straight, Aleksey Solodov hams it up quite a bit and that way adds the
right dose of humour to things, with the result being fun genre TV.
